Roberto Gagliardini spoke to Inter channel after the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Roma on Sunday night.

“Our performance was not enough, we missed something like a will to win, a belief, despite the opponent being very strong.

“But there is failure to really believe in it. We lost some battles too and they have shown that they have players of the highest calibre.

“For the first goal, maybe I should have shown him down the line but he really did score a great goal.

“In the first half we really didn’t get our passing going or have the desire to get in behind into spaces.”

When asked about his former employers, Gagliardini only had praise.

“I know them, I don’t think they will stop now they have found a game plan that works.”
