In the post match press conference Stefano Pioli analysed today’s game against Bologna:

Today you struggled a bit, D’Ambrosio was close to Verdi. Was that something you had studied on? “It’s true that we had some difficulties today, but we faced a really organised team. We couldn’t find any rhythm, but it got better in the second half. Today we showed our force and determination, we knew that we could make the winning move. In regard to D’Ambrosio, we go where our opponents go.”

Miranda got booked against a team that had difficulties attacking, is it bitter? “No, no bitterness, these things happen in football. Miranda says he pulled his leg out of the situation but they got a freekick anyway. He has been only one booking away from suspension for some time now. He’s a really strong player, but we have many of them.”

Joao Mario appeared to be in a bit of distress today, do you think having two in the low part of the midfield is a waste? “I liked him a lot today, even though I think his best position is a bit more up in the formation. But again, I think he did well today.”

The penalty on Dzemaili caused by Eder? “I didn’t see it.”

Murillo? “He has an adductor strain, we have to check.”

Brozovic against Roma? “We’ll see in the next couple of days if the pain is better. Yesterday he felt a little bit better and I hope that he can play on Sunday, but that depends on the pain and the examinations he will undergo. Fortunately he has a very high threshold of pain.”
