In an interview with Mediaset Premium, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti had the follwing to say about tonight’s performance against Fiorentina: “I am very satisfied, we fought against a good team in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Icardi and Perisic have performed extremely well, but don’t forget about Miranda and Skriniar who defended really well under pressure. The best player? The goals of Icardi and Perisic were beatiful. That half hour where we lost the initiative can not happen again, but we are a team that has quality and strength and we will do everything we can in order to win all the matches. For 60 minutes we controlled the game, if we can do this for 90 minutes Inter will be an interesting team. We have to take advantage of the chances we get, that is something we have to improve. We have to take the command when it comes to initiate and create our opportunities. Obviously we will find ourselves in trouble sometimes where we have to resist, but it is important that we can put pressure on our opponents defence. Fiorentina proved to have both the right mentality as well as being well organised. What kind of reception I expect next week? They can do whatever they want to do, I return with happiness and friendship and hope to meet people whom I loved”.
