With the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup beginning in a few weeks, Chile will go to represent South America after winning the Copa America in 2015 on home soil. Chile manager Juan Antonio Pizzi has made a list of 29 names that are set to represent La Roja in the tournament in Russia and have called up Inter’s Gary Medel in the process.
Chile will open the tournament against African Cup of Nations champions Cameroon on June 18, being pitted in a group with the reigning world champions Germany and AFC Asian Cup winners, Australia.
