Danilo D’Ambrosio spoke from the sidelines of Inter’s 2017/18 home kit launch to Inter Channel: “I like the shirt, it reflects the colours of the lcub. Winning against Lazio gave us satisfaction, and maybe it can alleviate a little bitter taste. Now we want to finish well ahead against Udinese, for our fans. This year they were always at our side. The protests in the match against Sassuolo were legitimate and understandable.”
The full back then reflected on his and the team’s season: ” I was called in to the national team and renewed my contract until 2021, but all would have been nicer if we had achieved the team’s objectives. This year we have had ups and downs, we players must do more. It was inexplicable and unacceptable to give up with so many games to go because we could still have hit fourth place.”
He concluded discussing the objectives for next season: “Surely it is to return to the Champions League.”
