Another former Inter coach has also been a critic of the club for sacking Stefano Pioli. In an interview with TMW Radio, Eugenio Fascetti insisted that the manager was sacked following the 1-0 loss to Genoa on Sunday and subbing out captain Mauro Icardi in the 72nd minute for Rodrigo Palacio.

“Pioli has the sin of treason and is immediately facing the consequences,” said Fascetti. “I saw a lot of Inter’s games, the derby, the match against Crotone and all other recent matches and as for the players that took to the field and what they’ve have shown, I’d send them all away, even Icardi.”
