Corriere della Sera have examined the current situation of Inter after they lost to Genoa yesterday: “You can always do worse and, with each passing week, Inter beat themself. The Nerazzurri are like a bottomless pit, where everything is lost, and against Genoa the faint glimmer of dignity left. They can not, however, impress with a fifth defeat in their last 7 games and 2 measly points collected, no team in Serie A has managed to do worse. Inter are already relegated in the heads, exhausted by their own inconsistencies, mortified by a group of soulless players and an absent leadership. It was a game to win to keep a hold onto the Europa League, but the suspicion is that no one really wants to go. The cup should be honoured, but taking responsibility is not a gift of the Inter dressing room.”
