Khouma Babacar spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Fiorentina-Inter, previewing the game: “It’s a game that we have to win. Europe is far away. But we have a duty to score as many points as we can in the matches that are left between now and the end of the season. It’s hard, but not impossible. Fiorentina are worth much more than than the current league position. And sometimes we have shown it. My first aim is to stay in Florence and win a trophy wearing this shirt. Only after focusing on this achievement could I think of going in search of new challenges. Florence is my home.”

The Senegalese forward also discussed why he chose Fiorentina over Inter as a youngster: “Inter wanted me. Seriously. But then I chose Florence. This city has welcomed me as a child, I feel indebted to them. I want to do something important for our fans.”
