As Inter wave good bye to the Champions League yet again and begin the fight to get into Europa League, below are the ratings for the players performances during the defeat against Sampdoria. No prizes for guessing correctly who got the lowest rating.

Samir Handanovic – 5: Cant blame him for the goals but for the whole game he didn’t give out the positive vibe. That risky pass at the start made him lose his composure.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5.5: Made one major error in the 2nd half but it didn’t cost us much. Didn’t help much in attack apart from the goal and defended decently. Usual.

Gary Medel – 5: Schick was way quicker than him and he couldn’t handle him as the game wore on. Partly at fault for the 1st goal and gave away the free kick for the 2nd.

Joao Miranda – 6:  Only shining light in defense on bad days, as always. He battled with Quagliarella, Schick and his own teams brain fades tonight. Classy but not enough.

Cristian Ansaldi – 5.5: Great start, continued his run of form and caused Samp too much trouble in the first half. When things got tough he lost his calm and made basic errors.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6:  When Roberto was on the pitch we didn’t really do well but went in ahead. When he didn’t come out we struggled. He is the reference point in midfield.

Marcelo Brozovic – 4.5: Talent without intelligence to use it is nothing. School boyish performance. His diva-like attitude makes it look even worse. Don’t know why he started.

Antonio Candreva – 4.5: Should have scored in the first half. He got 5 crosses right but he got 10 wrong tonight. Takes too much time or makes a mistake. Should be benched.

Ever Banega – 5: Ever couldn’t replicate his form and I think its down to the mids behind him. Only mistake was taking too much time from that Icardi pass.

Ivan Perisic – 5: Looked tired even at kick off. His confidence has taken a hit after the Torino game. Didn’t make most of his chances even with Ansaldi helping him.

Mauro Icardi – 5: Gave a 100% like Banega but couldn’t get involved at all. Then got that chance which he skied. It all went downhill for him and Inter after that.

Geoffrey Kondogbia – 5: Sampdoria’s midfield outnumbered ours and Kondo tried his best to make his presence felt with an aggressive performance. Too bad nobody helped.

Eder – 6: Pioli’s supersub never dissapoints. He gave the coach exactly what was needed but the team had lost the game mentally before Eder came on.

Joao Mario – 5.5: Joao looks low on confidence, he fluffed his chance towards the end and even got a simple basic pass wrong. That is very unlike him. Worrying signs.

Stefano Pioli – 4.5: Got the starting 11 wrong. Had a chance to change and seize control at HT with a 1-0 lead. Somehow the team lost their minds after the team talk.

Domenico Celi – 5: Schick’s goal was correct. Penalty call was correct. The problem was the smaller calls that werent consistent. His linesmen need to learn the offside rule.

Inter – 4: Like Torino we saw a team that thought they would be given 3 points for turning up. We lost the mental battle tonight. Dissapointing attitude.
