Il Sifup, Chilean union of professional footballers, assures full support to the Inter midfielder Gary Medel, who accused a journalist on Chilevision for reporting false news on behalf of Medel and how much he spent for his kids school. The union has very seriously criticized the television channel for false information.

“We consider this a very serious issue. False publication of information about a player, even more so about his children, without even a slight of accurate information is not acceptable. We stand by Medel and we are available for all appropriate actions to take to protect him and his family.”

Medel also expressed his frustration on his Twitter account:

“Chilevision lies! I pay for my kids school!”
