According to Tuttosport, scouts from across Europe witnessed Mamadou Coulibaly’s Serie A debut for Pescara on Sunday afternoon.

Representatives of Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, as well as major Premier League Clubs, watched on as the 18-year-old Senegalese midfielder took to the field against Atalanta.

The youngster, who arrived in Italy as a refugee in 2015, has already been dubbed the ‘new Paul Pogba’ but takes inspiration from Yaya Touré.

Furthermore, Coulibaly now employs the same agent as Marco Verratti, who of course came through the ranks at Pescara before joining PSG in the summer of 2012.

Donato Di Campli will be hoping his new client follows a similar career trajectory to that of the Italian international.
