In today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, a brief interview with Sassuolo player Francesco Acerbi can be found. Once again, Inter has set their eyes on Acerbi, but they are not alone: “Leicester was a good chance, the Premier League is fascinating and I would have gotten the chance to play Champions League. I heard from Ranieri three times and said the same thing every time: If Sassuolo opens the door for me, I’ll be happy to come. Otherwise nothing. Now, I don’t know if I’ll get the chance again. But if it comes down to Inter or Leicester I’ll choose Inter.”

About Berardi: “I often ask myself why he isn’t already in Real Madrid, in Italy there is no one like him. I don’t give him any advise for his future, he didn’t feel ready for the next step and wanted to leave on his terms. Now he’s ready and all I know is that he will not do what everybody tells him to.”

About Zanetti and the record of consecutive games: “I have never counted my games. When they told me no one in Europe is doing better I thought that what matters is when Sunday comes and I get to play, because I always look forward to playing. But don’t call me a phenomenon, Zanetti is a phenomenon. 162 consecutive games, right? What a beast…”
