Andrea Ranocchia was interviewed by Sky Sports Italia about how his move to Hull City came about.
“My transfer was very quick and unexpected. I’m happy to be playing in the Premier League with Hull City. Things are going well right now but the season is long and I will give everything to avoid relegation.”
“I was very surprised to learn that Ranieri was sacked, he’s a coach who wrote footballing history last season. Mancini to replace Ranieri? I had him as a coach for a year and a half and he’s a great tactician who knows English football as well as international football very well. If Leicester choose him I’m sure he’ll do very well there.
In conclusion Ranocchia was asked about what his thoughts on his former coach Antonio Conte’s performance with Chelsea: “I’m not surprised, he is one of the best on the worl. I had the great fortune to work with him for a couple of years and I’m happy that things are going well for him. He has the spirit of a hard worker, of a person who wants to reach the top and he has demonstrated this.”
