After theInter–Bologna match, the Nerazzurri coach Stefano Pioli spoke with Premium Sports about his side’s performance:
“It’s always good news when a team believes until the end, that’s the summary of the game. We struggled, we missed the rhythm and the opponent threatened us a couple of times. But the team believed, struggled and finally the right time came. The only feeling at that moment is the satisfaction for their work, seeing my players give their all. We must insist, we have not done anything, 9 wins out of 10 mean a lot but the others are still winning and we cannot help but try to continue this way – although it will be difficult to keep certain rhythms.”
The defense? “We’re working on it, there are so many things where we can improve on, but thanks to the departure of players, we can do it.”
Eder? “Today he was tough, he made sharp runs, especially Eder and Perisic, because the forward has been slow- on the wing and less in the finishing area. But he worked hard, took a chance and it was properly executed but he was unlucky.”
Dinner offered by Brazilian Gabigol? “They said in the dressing room, if there is this possibility, it’s fine. I’m happy for him, he’s working hard after suffering a troubled start. Normal for a young man who comes from overseas, now he is taking some satisfaction. But the credit goes to the entire team.”
