Assane Demoya Gnoukouri is out for three months after Udinese has detected heart problems. “The heart issues” mentioned in the press would be related to a viral infection suffered recently by Gnoukouri – explains Gazzetta dello Sport.

Assane may have been in contact with a violent flu during the Christmas holidays in Ivory Coast. An aggressive flu that would initially manifest in the form of a fever and then would cause a “wound” on the heart, a kind of heart fatigue. If this is confirmed, Gnoukouri should go through a complete rest period – and wait until the healing of the wound.

The player should return to Milan at the weekend to undergo additional testing shortly. The hope is that the 3-month suspension will decrease. After Kanu, Fadiga, Natalino and Biabiany, have all suffered from similar problems with Inter.
