Don Ausilio

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio gave his traditional match day interview, this time to Premium Sport commenting on Massimo Moratti’s statements about Inter signing big name players in the summer.

“I don’t know, we’re looking to do things well, we’re not discussing big signings but players who suit our project. Findign players who are better than the ones we have isn’t easy but we will try. Lionel Messi to Inter? I wont speak about him because I don’t want to mislead our fans regarding something that is unrealistic and beyond Suning’s potential. We have an UEFA who don’t give up checking our bank accounts, there are parameters that must be respected beyond the economic powers of our owners.”

Ausilio was then asked about any more signings coming in during the this transfer window which he declined stating: “We know that we must improve but in January you can’t find players that can improve us. We’ve already done what we had to do with Roberto Gagliardini, a player who we really wanted for the present as well as the future. With his arrival we’ve closed our transfer window as to players coming in, now we will sell a few players to make the squad more homogenous”
