Former Juventus and Italy striker Alessandro Del Piero was a guest on Sky Sport where he gave his thoughts on Pioli’s Inter in general and Roberto Gagliardini in particular.

“Inter’s squad now has more reference points than they had before and a determination that they lacked earlier. Then you have the goals they score at the end of the matches, the team believes in what they are doing during the week and they believe in it until the end, they believe in their coach. Inter created a lot and new how to take on this match.”

“Gagliardini? Great match and we need to compliment Pioli. He created chances and played with continuity in midfield, it looked as if he’d played at Inter since forever and you couldn’t see that he had just arrived. Well done to him and his coach, he could have afforded to throw away his first match but that never happened.”
