La Gazzetta dello Sports reports that Felipe Melo has been suspended two games for his red card (due to two yellow cards) in Sundays’s game against Sassuolo. Stefano Pioli had the following to say about the decision: “This sets off an automatic process on Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, where documents and appeal strategies are being evaluated. Two rounds, when the sending off itself was ridiculous, is surprising. We have a quality midfield but to have Melo suspended is a set-back, especially since he has been in a good form after replacing Gary Medel.”
