Antonio Candreva spoke with Corriere dello Sport earlier today on a range of topics from Sunday’s game, Lucas Biglia and who is his favourite to win the scudetto: “In the last away games against Sassuolo, Inter have not done very well and have no positive memories, I have read that they have some players out injured, but in Serie A there are never any easy games. Sassuolo are a well-prepared side and are playing through a difficult time. Now is not the time to overthink things, we have to climb the league table.”
The winger then moved on to his time with Lazio ahead of the finale before the winter break and talked on Inter target Lucas Biglia: “The five seasons in Biancocelesti were unforgettable, the most beautiful of my career as a footballer. In Rome I left many friends and so many positive memories. I can only say a big thank you to all the people at Lazio. It will be a difficult game because they are above us in the standings and are having an extraordinary season. However, we have to beat them because they are a direct competitor for a place in Europe. If Biglia calls me, I will reply that we have so many good midfielders here.
