Atalanta starlet Andrea Conti spoke with Corriere dello Sport about rumours surrounding his future and shared a story about his youth career: “I do not know what will happen in June because now I can hardly think about tomorrow. In the meantime I want to play a big part at Atalanta and a great U-21 Euros, then we’ll see. Undoubtedly the interest from big clubs is pleasing and are the result of the work we are doing. But I do not think about the market, I’m only focused on the pitch. After Calcio Lecco failed, in 2002, the boys from the youth academy went to the nearby clubs. I was at Virtus Valmadrera and was noticed by Atalanta, Milan and Inter. I trialed at Milan and they wanted to sign me, but my father chose Atalanta for their youth academy tradition.”
