Corriere della Sera reports that the Chinese revolution at Inter has now truly begun. Yesterday saw the resignation of CEO Michael Bolingbroke and reasons behind his departure are like so: “He arrived after the experience at Manchester United, the Englishman had to increase revenues and turn Inter into a real top club, on the field and in the rankings of commercial revenues. He failed to do neither one nor the other and Suning decided to lift him from office.”

Furthermore, the word “resignation” was used out of respect, when Suning in fact sacked him also deeming him guilty – even as guilty as Erick Thohir – for the hiring of Frank de Boer. Bolingbroke’ successor Liu Jun is now tasked with looking at the staff and changes that could be made in the marketing department, all in preparation for Erick Thohir’s departure.
