It is official, Joao Mario is an Inter player. The Euro 2016 champion with Portugal will play under Frank De Boer this season. The new Nerazzurro left an emotional message on his Facebook page to thank his former club:
“Where to start… 14 wonderful years that I wont forget no matter what happens! Right now the only word I have on my mind is thanks. Thanks to Sporting for everything you did for me. I started as any child that comes to the academy and dreams to make it to the first team, passing through several years in a unique team. Since the first day I knew that I had made the right choice. I wanna thank all the people without exception that were part of that story. All the board, all the coaches I have had, all the people I have worked with at the academy, thank you very much! You all will be in my heart, as well as the fans for the affection and the admiration you always gave me. From now I am one more fan of Sporting.
