Though the Nerazzurri side opened up the Serie A campaign with a shattering defeat at the hands of Chievo but the Dutch manager seemed to be confident about club’s chances of qualifying for UCL. In his pre-match interview he said:

“I believe that tomorrow’s Inter will be different from the one of next week. I think we can qualify for the Champions League. Physical preparation is vital for my idea of football.”
He also emphasized on improving Inter’s performance from Chievo game:

“Against Chievo we didn’t play as good as I’d expect. Physical preparation was a massive problem. We played a good game in the first half, but we struggled in the second. We’ve been training very well this week, let’s hope to see some improvement next week-end. The most important thing will be to prove that we are improving and to fight as much as we can.”
