After arriving in Milan, Zhang Jindong emphasised how concerned the Suning Group is about the people affected by the earthquake in Central Italy: “Suning has decided to buy the majority of FC Internazionale shares not only because the Club Inter is one of the biggest teams in world football, but also because we have always been fascinated by a beautiful country like Italy. We are very saddened by the tragedy that struck the heart of the country at this time and we wouldfirst of all like to send our condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the earthquake. That is why in the coming hours we act to make our proximity through a donation of 200 thousand euro, to be allocated to associations that are doing their utmost to bring aid and relief to the earthquake-affected areas.”
