Massimiliano Nebuloni spoke with SkySport24  about problems Inter have, one of which he suggests is lack of a true regista.

“For a team to play well a team without a regista is like expecting a nice film without a director” he started out.

He carried on, “Since then [when the last true regista in Thiago Motta left for PSG in 2012] Inter have brought in many players, but never a midfielder who excelled in geometry. A structural defect, that Inter carries around for years and that even in this window has been unable to eliminate. In Verona, the team struggled to create the game and it is normal if the Nerazzurri appointed this task to Gary Medel , who is irreplaceable for other reasons, but ultimately unsuitable in that type of work. Joao Mario , Moussa Sissoko and Luiz Gustavo are three excellent players, but none of the three are a regista, who would serve at Inter to increase the quality in midfield and get closer to Naples and Rome. Banega is not a deep lying playmaker and he can’t be either because it goes against his nature of being able to move around without the ball and affect the game better from an advanced position.”
