The president of the Italian FA Carlo Tavecchio is admittedly sceptical about the Chinese ownerships of AC and Inter Milan.

“I believe those are strange situations because economic values are not real. There are many interests linked with TV rights and foreign markets.”

Inter received investment from Suning group, while a consortium of Chinese investors is expected to finalise a deal to buy over 99% of shares in the Rossoneri.

“If China want to organize the 2030 World Cup, they have to invest in Europe. The Italian FA has lost power at hands of the Lega Calcio Serie A.”
