Inter Milan legend and vice-president Javier Zanetti spoke about life after playing for Inter Milan for nearly 20 years, but he realized then that his name will always be linked to the Nerazzurri, long before he is even gone. He spoke to LA NACION in Argentina and had this to say.

-What is your status now that you have hung up your boots?

JZ: ”That my last name is linked with honesty, credibility, and trust. I feel I won the respect of the people. And from my values, I try to contribute to a better football.

-How is your relationship with FIFA president Gianni Infantino?

JZ: ”My relationship is very good, I did many things with UEFA when he was president. Infantino is clear about the values of social responsibility that are in the world of football, knowing that from his popularity, it’s an essential tool for many things.”

-What have you learned as a director?

JZ: ‘‘When I played, everything ended with the game. Now, I learned that for those 11 players who enter the pitch have to work, there has to be some sort of organization so those players only have to play the game.”
