Former Inter man Ricky Alvarez has insisted he is happy with life at Sampdoria and is comfortable in his role as a playmaker.

“We want to have a nice training camp, in order to have an excellent season,” he told Premium Sport, “I immediately liked Genoa, as soon as I arrived here, and so did my family. The club and I instantly hit it off.”

The former Velez Sarsfield man also spoke of his role in the team: “the 4-3-1-2? I’m happy as a playmaker, but it’s early days yet. Coach Giampaolo works very well, he’s already proved that.”
