Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is working on strengthening his squad ahead of the Sardinians’ return to Serie A. One of the priorities for coach Massimo Rastelli is to find a new left back as Antonio Balzano looks set to leave the Rossoblu. Inter’s Davide Santon is one of the names under consideration however signs indicate he could prove to be too costly. Cagliari’s alternative to Santon is Real Betis’ Cristiano Piccini, formerly of Spezia and Livorno.
