Inter travel to play 19th place Frosinone who are in a relegation scrap and have a poor goal scoring record. We beat them 4-0 at home. They were the first team we beat with more than a 1 goal margin this week. Sure we are Miranda-less, but 3 points are a must for the table and most importantly for our morale. We cant afford another blip! Guess we will find out in less than 4 hours. All stats are via Whoscored.

Goal Scoring

Only Verona have scored fewer goals than Frosinone. Out of the 29 goals scored this season 16 have been scored by Dionisi & Ciofani. Inter’s leader upfront has been Mauro Icardi without a doubt and has 13 of the 41 goals scored in Serie A this season. Perisic’s recent hot streak has seen him climb to 2nd in the goal scoring charts with 6. Frosinone havent scored in their last 2 games. Inter have failed to score more than a goal in their last 2 outings too.

Goal Stopping

In 31 Serie A games, Inter have conceded 30 goals. Without Miranda today we will lack the leader in the defense. We will also have a different wingback situation. *Fingers crossed for Telles*. We havent kept a clean sheet since the 2nd of March when we *almost* kicked Juventus out of the Coppa. Frosinone have a more recent clean sheet as they held Fiorentina to a goal-less draw before the international break but conceded 4 to Genoa in their last outing. They have conceded 59 goals in 31 games this season. Not trying to jinx it here but they are the worst defense in Serie A this season.

Passing

Inter’s average possession this season is close to 54% which is helped by our 82.5% passing success rate. 84% of our passes are of the short variety. Frosinone struggle to hold the ball and are dominated by their opponents as suggested by their 43% possession and only 69% success. Both teams hardly play any through balls.

Best Players

Their best player is Central defender Blanchard who is the only Frosinone player rated above 7 in Whoscored stats. Inter have 4 such players, with Telles leading the pack with 7.15 in his 18 appearances.

Let’s hope Inter asserts their dominance as the numbers suggest and get a straight forward win to go with a good performance. We Interisti need it!
