kovacic

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that Milan are interested in Mateo Kovacic. As it is now there have been no formal contacts made but the rossoneri have inquired about the young Croatian Inter player.

At a tactical level the former Dinamo Zagreb player would be good for what Sinisa Mihajlovic has in mind for his midfield. The paper writes that the idea remains a very difficult one, from both ends. Milan need to get rid of players in midfield before bringing in other new players (new entries will arrive though), while from Inter’s side they value the player around at least 28-30 million euros. Bear in mind that the offer from Liverpool of around 25 million was rejected.

It is hard to think that Inter would sell a player that would reinforce a direct competitor in the chase for the Champions League spots.
