Inter are currently in a goalkeeping crisis.  The possibility of losing current star keeper Handanvoic is increasing by the week.  Inter have identified Antonio Mirante as a possible replacement for the Slovenian.  Today, the Parma shot-stopper spoke to FcInternews.it about his future:

Has there been no contact with Inter yet?

“My agent is involved in negotiations.  I am currently trying to find out how Parma’s situation will end.  It will depend on the club, and we will discuss my future and evaluate offers.”

Would Inter be a good destination?

“We are talking about a great club, and it would be a great experience.  I must repeat, talks are currently in a very early stage.  I will wait until Parma collapses, then make a decision.”

Is it true that you were in contact with Di Matteo’s Schalke before the coach left?

“This is outdated news, and time has passed since then.  My agent and I will evaluate all offers and look to find the best possible solution.”

Would you rather play for a mid-table team, or a top club?

Obviously, everyone enjoys playing more often.  I am certainly not a rookie after six seasons of starting in Serie A.  I have learned how to handle myself in a professional environment. I prefer to not say much more at this stage.”

Would you like to play under Mancini?

“(Laughs) Of course.  Who would not want to work with him?  We are talking about one of the best coaches, and any player would enjoy working under him.”
