Finally joy for the Inter fans at San Siro. Inter triumph at home against Roma thanks to goals from Hernanes and Mauro Icardi, and overtake AC Milan keeping alive their hopes of European football. There are 6 matches left to go and the season isn’t over yet and credit goes mainly to Inter’s number 9.
Immediately after the game Mauro Icardi gave an interview to Sky, here are his words:
“This is an important time in the season, we are now doing what the coach asks of us even though we should have done it sooner. Even in the derby we played well but couldn’t score.”
“Win all the matches left? Maybe, it’s what we all want.”
“The club will do the best to bring players in and create a winning Inter. I’ll stay next year, I have three years on my contract and I want to stay at Inter with my people.”
“The signature on the renewal? You have to talk to Piero Ausilio about these things but next year I will still be an Inter player.”
