A good Inter that unfortunately woke up to late and lost against Fiorentina at San Siro. The nerazzurri coach spoke to Mediaset Premium.
“In my opinion the team didn’t deserve to lose. Maybe we started out to slow and with to much doubt. I thought that we could have done more in the offense, we weren’t aggressive enough but Fiorentina defended well and they are a good team. I expected more of them all, not only of Kovacic but I don’t believe that the team deserved to lose. However I’m glad of the reaction. La Viola defended with all their men on their own half of pitch, maybe I wanted more aggression of our three strikers”.
I started with Kovacic since Shaqiri and Palacio played last Thursday and that he did very well against Cagliari, You always expect a lot from him just as Podolski. A Regista? Maybe in the future, sure. But now he must do much more. The season ain’t over and there are many fixtures left, we can’t just focus on Europa League”.
