Roberto Mancini’s men are unbeaten in their last seven competitive matches, putting together three wins and four draws. Udinese were the last team to beat them on 7 December (1-2 in the league). This current run equals the team’s longest streak without defeat in 2014/15, achieved in the first seven matches of the season: five wins and two draws before slipping to a 1-4 home reverse at the hands of Cagliari on 28 September in Serie A.

Torino goalkeeper Daniele Padelli faces one of his worst nemeses in Rodrigo Palacio today: the Nerazzurri forward with his three strikes is among the seven players who have scored most often past the Italian shotstopper (the others are Balotelli, Dedic, Eder, Higuain, Lavezzi and Pogba). Palacio scored against Padelli on 20 October 2013 (a brace in Torino 3-3 Inter, Serie A) and 9 March 2014 (the winner in Inter 1-0 Torino, again in Serie A).
