After a cruel 0-1 defeat against Torino in the 94th min, Roberto Mancini took the time to speak to RAI Sport and had the following to say about the game. “I’m dissapointed that we lost, but sometimes football is like that. Sometimes you deserve to win the game but you end up losing. We have to improve in the final third of the pitch, our players have to move a lot more when attacking. Can you still reach the Champions League? I think we have to continue to believe in reaching the Champions League. If we continue to play like this, it’s possible that we can recover 5-6 points in a month. It’s very important that we continue to play like this and hopefully the win will come sooner rather than later. I’m sure that we will reach the Champions League. I don’t know how but all I know is that we will get there. We have to keep on working with tranquility even during hard periods.
Did you expect more from Podolski and Shaqiri? “Today only Podolski started [out of the two players], Shaqiri was not fit enough. Brozovic? “When Brozovic is ready, he will help us out.”
