Danilo D’Ambrosio Spoke exclusively to Sky, the Nerazzurri defender talks about his targets for the near future

We wanted to turn things around after our slip at Empoli and we did that against Sampdoria, dominating from the first whistle.

Danilo D’Ambrosio told Sky Italia. With the Coppa Italia success behind them, the Nerazzurri are now focused on their next league opponents. Inter host Torino, the Neapolitan’s former side:

It will be a tricky match against Torino, it’s a game that means a lot to me. I’ll come up against a lot of former team-mates, people I got on really well with. I hope we win first and foremost, but if I managed to score that would be great in any case.

He gave his views on the new signings:

Podolski and Shaqiri are top level players both technically and tactically. They’ve joined from big clubs and definitely add something to Inter.

Finally, a word on his personal goals and the work done by Mancini thus far:

The coach has really believed in me and I want to repay him through hard work. The national team would be a huge step in my career, but that’s something you achieve by working hard. Mancini has made an impact above all psychologically, he’s a successful coach and he is putting across a great will to win. Third place is still our main target.
