When I last wrote an editorial it was before the trip to Milan and San Siro for the game against Sassuolo. The text was called “we’re coming home” and now I will describe how the trip was. As I hope you all know, “SempreInter” means always Inter and our crew is aiming at always being present in Milan when Inter plays. With the slogan “SempreInter, sempre presenti”, SempreInter always present, we want to give the best coverage to our readers and also become the only English Inter page that regurarly is in Milan where it all happens. And this trip was all a part of that as I headed to Milan last Saturday.

Saturday: Atalanta-Inter Primavera game

My flight departed from Stockholm at 06:50. Tired but in a good mood I sat on the flight and I couldn’t help but feeling enthusiastic for being back to travelling to see our beloved Inter. As I got three seats for myself my thinking was quickly switched into sleeping and when I woke up the plane was about to land in Milan.

I had organized with my good friend Giancarlo to see the primavera game away against Atalanta. As I left the airport Giancarlo was waiting for me and I joined him to his car where he has stuffed up some great tasting panini and beers. I took my jacket off, put my sunglasses on, tok a sip off that beer and enjoyed the great weather as we set off to Atalanta’s training center to see the primavera game.

Giancarlo is a part of the group Banda Bagaj whose banner is seen in the opposite section of the Curva Nord, the curva sud. As we entered Atalanta’s training ground we met up with Giancarlo’s friends who are present at almost every primavera/youngster game of Inter’s teams. It’s a great group of passionate Interisti who even puts the youngsters before Inter’s senior team and it was a great day for a football game.

The game begun and Inter took the lead quickly. Bonazzoli took profit from a mistake from the goalkeeper and gave Inter the lead. You can really see that Bonazzoli has some class about him, every time he has the ball something happens and his control is on another level. However, Atalanta didn’t wait to respond. Just minutes after the goal they forced a great save and then Atalanta got the goal after a great counter attack. This is when Gaston Camara and George Puskas decided to step their game up. Puskas scored his first goal after a great turn and for his second goal he was assisted by Camara who had gone past a couple of Atalanta-players before making the assist. The game ended 1-3 for Inter and the three most impressive players were Puscas, Bonazzoli and Camara who all should be playing more regurarly with the senior players. What I liked the most about the primavera was that some players would take their time to come out and have a chat with the people who had traveled to see them. Bonazzoli was out really early talking to his family(and others) and before jumping on the bus Camara came out and talked to us. I congratulated him for his goal, performance and told him that he just had to continue. He answered: “Thank you, I will do my best to continue like this.” We took a picture together before we jumped in Giancarlo’s car again to return to Milan.

After a quick pizza and some shopping i decided to return to the hotel to leave my bags and get some sleep. Later I went to have dinner at a great restaurang before returning to the hotel where I was waiting for my colleague Danny to arrive. Whilst I was waiting for Danny in the hotel lobby I started talking to the man in the reception who told me that him and all the staff were huge Interisti. As we talked about all things Inter Danny arrived, had some food and then we got some sleep.

Sunday: Inter-Sassuolo

We woke up early in the morning, had breakfast and then left the hotel early. Since we had to sort some things at the stadium we figured it would be better to be there in time and we arrived at the stadium around 11:30. We bought our tickets, activated our tessera del tifoso and then went on to a chinese restaurant nearby to have a lunch with some good Interisti friends.

After the quick lunch we went to the supporters bar “Il Baretto” to get our drinks up. At the bar we met the Curva photographer and decided to take some photo’s of Danny’s tatoos and some photo’s together in front of the Curva Banners. The Curva was suspended but the guys met up at the Bar anyways to sing some songs and meet with friends so the atmosphere was great and the bar area was crowded. If there’s something I regret from my trips is not taking enough good photo’s to keep as memories therefore we were happy to find a professional photographer to help us take some great photo’s. Danny’s tatood back in front of the banners has been spread all around the world:

When we returned to the area where our friends were they had all entered the stadium and we figured we’d do that as well. This game we had bought tickets for the second blue section, the “Curva Sud” where we were hoping to find Giancarlo’s group the Banda Bagaj and when we entered our section it wasn’t long before we saw Giancarlo waving the flag of his group in the front of the section.

Before the game they announced the return of Pazza Inter and the atmosphere was good when it was sung. Personally I prefer “C’è solo l’Inter” because it really sums up everything about being an Interista. Me and Danny found our places in the front row and we found some new friends where we sat. I guess you all know how the game ended and it was a great game to see. All the players did great but if I have to choose some things to comment it will be:

Medel: Everytime he had the ball the San Siro applauded him. He even got standing ovations on an occasion and the black and blue people have welcomed their pitbull.
Osvaldo: This is a great player. He is still lacking some fitness, but he has the movements and can do something with the ball everytime he gets it. A great signing.
Dodo: Thanks Roma.

As some people will probably moan about me not commenting Icardi, Kovacic and Juan lets just all agree that we all know their qualities and how well they did, whilst Dodo, Medel and Osvaldo are new signings that I haven’t seen live before.

Me and Danny left the stadium a couple of minutes before the end because we both had flights to catch. We took a run from the stadium and both made it in time to catch our flights. Danny left from Bergamo and I left from Malpensa and we were back in Sweden the same night. Two Inter games in 35 hours and we couldn’t really have had a better trip. We will be back against Napoli and hopefully we will have another text like this to write after that trip.
