Aurelio De Laurentiis is still jabbing at Walter Mazzarri. After the Lega meeting in serie A the Napoli owner once again started talking about his ex-coach in a criticizing way. “He was incapable of talking to a player like Vargas. The acquisition of Marco Verratti? I had agreed on everything with the Pescara president, and then he (Mazzarri) says; ‘I won’t play him’. But I can understand this because in his style of play the regista doesn’t exist. If he’d have Andrea Pirlo at his disposal I’m not saying he wouldn’t play him but he wouldn’t be able to play him the best way. But Mazzarri is changing, just as the whole of football is and he justly says that it is important to be able to change the way you play during the games depending on your adversaries.”
