Dejan Stankovic talked to SportItalia after his presentation as assistant coach to Stramaccioni in that of Udine about his choice to go to Udinese and also Inter: “I have always helped the coach, but he also helped me in difficult moments and this has created a feeling. I share his ideas of football and I have to say thanks for the call. It took me 5 minutes to accept his offer and I have to thank him because I am arriving to a place where the club is organized perfectly. I really thank everyone here because I can really teach a lot of what I learned as a player. I’m convinced I can do well. There’s still so much I want and this is a nice springboard and I hope to have a good season with these great guys with whom it works very well and who have a great desire to grow in their turn. Plan B? Since last year I had the chance to become the president of Red Star Belgrade and Serbia, but I didn’t want to base my career on the name, but on my capacity and here I can learn a lot. Inter? There are ups and downs. Inter won everything there was and it was normal for a stop and change, now we’ll see with this new leadership, we will see. Last year Inter did well despite being in a year of transition, they acquired Vidic who is a great champion and can lend a hand to everyone to grow. Moratti like Pozzo? I have known Moratti for 10 years and I know him very well, he wanted our best and was like a father. He really is a gentleman, Pozzo, from what I know, seems to be a very good person who we all cherish.”
