A meeting with Atletico Madrid to learn more about the situation regarding Mario Suarez, but Piero Ausilio also made time for a short talk with the agent of Alex Song, the Cameroonian midfielder who is currently transfer-listed by Barcelona. This was reported by Sky’s Emanuele Baiocchini in his regular transfer market update. Song would be an alternative to Atletico’s Suarez for the role as holding midfielder in front of the defensive line. The meeting between Inter’s director and Song’s agent was “introductive” but there is a problem with this potential deal: the current value of the player is 18 million euro. While it is a lot less than the 30 million payed by Barça two years ago, it would still be a very big investment for Inter.
