Hernanes stopped to answer some questions from the media before Inter v Napoli.
The Brazilian said: “We have to prove that we’ve grown mentally and that we can make things happen. Am I more comfortable playing in my current position? This is where I played at the start of my career, although you were used to seeing me in a more advanced role. Are my chances of going to the World Cup better if I’m playing in this posistion? I hope so.
“Tonight is a bit like a derby because it’s a match between two of the best teams in Italy. It’s an important game for us to show how much we’ve come on. We have to go out there and play with grit and determination, that’s how you win games like this.
“An important match for the coach? They’re all important for the coach. He’s been telling us since I joined that we have to play every game as it it were a final.”
