Pirlo2

Andrea Pirlo was interviewed by the Daily Mail about his career and started about talking his Inter where the young midfielder wanted playing time in a team with Ronaldo, Zamorano, Baggio, Djorkaeff and others:

“I played a lot during my first season at Inter. The pre-season went very well and Simoni gave me a lot of time as a starter and as the first reserve. Then Lucescu came who trusted the older players more, Castellini who replaced Lucescu thought I was ok whilst Hodgson said my name wrong. He called me ‘Pirla’, but he understood my natural playing style better than other coaches. In that year we changed four coaches, if I’d wake up confused in the morning I had forgotten who was the coach.”

Comment: For those of you who don’t know, Pirla in Milanese accent means something like idiot or stupid.
