Speaking at the launch of an initiative for the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Paolo Maldini explained what he thinks is the secret for Inter and Milan to be able to return to winning: “The secret is to combine investments for the first team and the youth sector. A club full of great champions shouldn’t leave out any sector that can help you stay on top. In fact, the kids can take example from the big players, to improve their technical and professional level. To develop a youth project investments are needed, but especially time. The results may not be immediate. You have to think of a five-year period. This is the secret of successful youth development.”
