When the new Croatian national team jersey was presented Inter’s Mateo Kovačić was interviewed by Croatian media and was asked a question about the Brazilian player who had been his role model during his upbringing: “I say Ronaldinho, according to me he is the greatest player of all time.”
The midfielder did however warn of the potential of his own team: “Brazil has one of the best teams in the world, but we have good players. Mario Mandzukic is one of the strongest strikers in Europe, while Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric are among the best midfielders. We are well on the way to becoming a very good team. Against Brazil, it will be a difficult match, we hope to get a positive result. ”
