The game against Fiorentina is approaching, and one of the biggest topics of discussion is Hernanes. Today is the decisive day to see whether the Brazilian will be able to participate in the game at Artemio Franchi or not. Yesterday, his training programme – as planned – contained some work in the gym, treatment and light running, and today the player will train with the team as long as his thigh muscle shows signs of improvement. If Hernanes is not able to train normally today his participation against Fiorentina can almost be excluded, although it is a game where his qualities in midfield would be greatly needed.
After Tuesday’s optimism, Wednesday brought more negative news, also because there is a fear that the minor muscular problem might deteriorate to a serious strain during the course of the game. Kovacic is held from training by the same reason, as he on Tuesday recieved three cuts to the knee from the spikes of a teammates cleat. On the other hand, Esteban Cambiasso resumed full training and the Argentine is expected to get at least a spot on the bench this weekend.
