The former Liverpool-player Jamie Redknapp criticizes Manchester United captain, Nemanja Vidic, severely in his column in the Daily Mail.

“After the match on Sunday it’s time for Manchester United to stop considering Vidic as the first choice for the defence. You have to start thinking about the future. The draw against Fulham is his fault, he was going to clear the ball with his head. It’s better to make room for younger players.”

“Once you know that you’re about to leave a club it’s only normal that your performance level drops. I’ve played with people who knew they were going to leave the team and so they had an eye on the future. Vidic makes many mistakes, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling deserve at least to be given the chance” Jamie Redknapp concludes.
