At last, after many destinations had been rejected, Ishak Belfodil chose Livorno and today the Algerian striker was presented along with his countryman Djamel Mesbah. Belfodil revealed why he chose to come to the Tuscan club, apart from the fact that Mesbah went there:

“Alfred Duncan and Ibrahima Mbaye convinced me to choose Livorno, I’m satisfied.”

Belfodil also talked about his less than positive experience at Inter:

“There was great confusion during the last day of the transfer window: I wanted to go to the Premier League and the visit already implemented with QPR proved it. The deal was abandoned due to the fact that no financial agreement could be reached, some Italian clubs came along and I chose Livorno. What happened at Inter during the year was a failure? This is probably a difficult season for Inter. But I think it was a nice experience and if I didn’t play much that means it was my fault. Not trying to put the responsibility on the behavior of others is the only way to grow.”
