Ruben Botta was presented as an Inter player today and started by talking about his position:

“Forward, to the left, to the right, it doesn’t matter for me. It’s all the same and I will play where the coach wants me.”

Piero Ausilio was sitting besides him and Botta thanked him when he talked about his injury:

“It was a very hard for me when I was injured. I was afraid that my dream of joining Inter would be crushed, but Piero Ausilio and the whole club helped me and waited for me, I want to thank them. Just like I want to thank Livorno and Mister Mazzarri who is believing in me.”

About carrying the same number(20) as Alvaro Recoba

“It’s a great player and I appreciated his playing type very much. I must work very hard to try to make the best with this shirt I’m wearing. I’m inspired by players like Recobe who can make the difference. Players who deliver on the highest level, I’m thinking about Riquelme and Messi who are players who’ve meant a lot for me. Just like another player who meant a lot to me, though he isn’t Argentina. Ronaldo. A player who has written the story of Inter, an idol for me.”

Botta then speaks about his conditions and the form of the team:

“I think I’ve improved physically very much this month, for every day I feel better and also my knee is better. I am trying to do my best every moment. About the team these are the times you notice the football player and his personality. The losses and the problems need to be put behind us and we have to learn from our mistakes.”

About why he chose Inter:

“It’s a dream club for an Argentine player but also for others. The fact that many Argentinians played here played a part in my choice, not only because they are great players but also because they are great persons.”

About the teammates:

“Kovacic has great skills and a bright future, just like Juan Jesus. These are young players whom I appriciate a lot.”
