During the press conference when Rubén Botta was presented, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was interviewed by SkySport24 and talked about the abandoned deal that would have taken Fredy Guarin to Juventus in exchange for Mirko Vucinic:
“On the transfer market, it often happens that negotiations that seem finished are abandoned. There was no need to hold a press conference because the same thing has happened to us, as with Isla last summer. We have good relations with Juve, when it comes to Guarin I would add that we have already spoken, and the reason he wasn’t in Turin was only a precaution, for environmental reasons.”
Fredy Guarin was on site during the press conference, smiling and in good spirits.
